Brandywine River

Painted February 27 at the Brandywine River Museum of Art, during the "Plein Air Inside Out" event.  I set up inside the cafe area along with several other painters.  The location provided a good view across the river.  Limited palette.  (c) 2016 Charles Snell.

Notan Sketches

Amico Island - Snowy Path

Painted today - the afternoon sunlight fell across the path at Amico Island.  Limited palette, using Utrecht white (mixed titanium/zinc), cadmium yellow light, permanent alizarin crimson, Prussian blue, raw umber and dioxazine violet.  (c) 2016 Charles Snell.

Pennington Park

Painted using a palette of cobalt blue, prussian blue, permanent alizarin crimson, cadmium red light, cadmium yellow light, raw umber, and titanium white.  The view is from Pennington Park in Delanco, New Jersey looking towards the Rancocas Creek.  (c) 2015 Charles Snell.
