Brandywine River

Painted February 27 at the Brandywine River Museum of Art, during the "Plein Air Inside Out" event.  I set up inside the cafe area along with several other painters.  The location provided a good view across the river.  Limited palette.  (c) 2016 Charles Snell.

Winter Tour

This week I painted at the Plein Air Brandywine Valley event.  The painting shown is from the Frederick property (Ashland Hollow) in Hockessin, Delaware.  A path leads through the woods, to a door with the word WINTER.   The view through the door caught my attention.  The exhibit is at Winterthur and closes Sunday October 25, 2015.  (c) 2015 Charles Snell.

Town Park, Greenville

While in Greenville, we painted at the local town park on a sunny day.  For a change, I painted most of this painting with my right hand.  By doing so, I could not put much detail into the painting.  It was a good experience. (c) 2014 Charles Snell.

Lambertville Station

Painted en plein air during a June 2012 weeklong painting workshop with Ken DeWaard.  The scene shows the Lambertville Station restaurant and was painted from a spot along the Delaware and Raritan canal trail in Lambertville, New Jersey.  Copyright 2012 Charles Snell.
