Strawbridge Lake paint out 2021

Willingboro Art Alliance sponsored a paint out at Strawbridge Lake in Moorestown on October 23, 2021.  Thirteen paintings were presented for judging at the end of the day.  John Slivjak judged the entries and provided a critique for each painting.  My painting, shown below, won first place for the event.

Marc Hanson Workshop 2021

The paintings shown in this post are from a recent painting workshop with Marc Hanson.  Day 1 was focused on value studies in black and white.  The remaining paintings were painted with a split primary palette (manganese blue hue, ultramarine blue, cadmium yellow medium, cadmium yellow lemon, cadmium red light, and alizarin crimson permanent, white).  The white was a mix of titanium white and cremnitz white.  All paintings copyright 2021 Charles Snell.
