Recently I painted in Mt. Holly, New Jersey with the Rancocas Valley Plein Air Painters.  The painting is a view of White Street.  Most of the work was done with a painting knife.  (c) 2015 Charles Snell.

Strawbridge Lake

I painted today at Strawbridge Lake in Moorestown.  It was warm (about 50 deg F) but there was still ice on the lake.  Palette included Permalba white, Indian yellow, Gamblin Portland Gray Deep, ultramarine blue, chromium oxide green, burnt sienna, and permanent alizarin crimson.  (c) 2015 Charles Snell.

Still Life

I set up a still life scene and painted it on a 6 in. x 6 in. Ampersand smooth finish panel.  It was fun to use transparent oxide red along with ultramarine blue in the darker tones. (c) 2015 Charles Snell.
